The Neverending Story is a cult fantasy family film, incredibly important in the history of European cinema. The cultural and historical significance of the film cannot be overestimated. At the time of production in 1984, it was the most expensive film outside of the US and the USSR (it is an English-language German production). The famous soundtrack, written by Klaus Doldinger in collaboration with Giorgio Moroder, who wrote Limahl’s song, gained international renown. The film screening with live music will have its world premiere during the Krakow Film Music Festival.
