Shakespeare a cappella. includes a cycle of William Shakespeare’s sonnets composed by Stanisław Soyka in completely new arrangements for a cappella vocal ensemble and jazz soloist. Album contains sonnets in original language version and in Polish translations of Maciej Słomczyński and Stanisław Barańczak.

Description
The CD album SUB URSAE – Under the Northern Sky recorded for the German label Raumklang contains all currently known pieces by the Polish composer of the Renaissance, Wacław of Szamotuły. A composer considered the best Polish composer before Chopin, he published his works in Nuremberg’s prints alongside contemporary composers such as Orlando di Lasso. The album is also unique, because it contains reconstructed (in fragments) the longest known composition by Wacław from Szamotuły – Lamentationes.
